SPS® VITESSA SL – the STOP cylinder flagship …

… and in-line Rejects Sheet Selelector SPS® RSS.

SPS® TechnoScreen has booked exhibition space at this year’s largest international graphic trade show IPEX 2010. On display: the top of the line 4-post STOP cylinder press SPS® VITESSA SL2 with a max. sheet size of 750 mm * 1060 mm, in combination with the most recent development for print line integration: Rejects Sheet Selector SPS® RSS.

The SPS® VITESSA SL is known for its unchallenged 4-post screen lift system, giving the operator unrestricted access to the underside of the screen for cleaning purposes as well as “on the fly” access to the material stream for set up or readjustment purposes. The press can handle flexible substrates from 80 to 800 micron with printing speeds up to 4000 iph.

The machine, based on the Original SPS® STOP Cylinder Principle™, is equipped with an optical sheet alignment control system. It can be set to either interrupt the machine cycle when a misaligned sheet is detected or continue transportation without printing on this single sheet.

The Rejects Sheet Selector SPS® RSS is an intelligent system in direct communication with the printing press, “catching” non-printed sheets. Depending on job profile, this system has the capability to increase the net production capacity of the whole printing line with as much as 10%.  Especially when value papers (like passports, ID cards or lottery tickets / bingo cards etc.) are printed it saves time to collect the full sheets volume “counted” for.
